EXHIBITION FOOL'S JOURNEY

What you see bellow is part of a collection of 19 paintings dealing with the subject of the medieval fool that were shown in a solo exhibition at the Pat Macoy Gallery in Concord NH

The Fool from a historical perspective does not always represent a person who makes poor choices. Sometimes in a royal court the fool was the only person who could speak truth to power, as long as he remained sufficiently entertaining in the king's eyes. To me the fool represents a person who lives life with complete abandon.
